Tali

Some dogs don’t need to be “fixed.” They just need to be understood. Tali is one of them.

Tali is back at ACCT after being returned from her previous home, not because she did anything wrong, but because her energy was a little too much for a household with small kids. At just four years old, Tali is full of life, excitement, and joy, and sometimes that enthusiasm comes out in big jumps and playful bursts. What that really means is that she loves hard, plays hard, and feels everything with her whole heart.

A dog in a sweater sits on a gray couch with green and brown pillows, looking up with a curious expression in a cozy living room.

At her core, Tali is a total love. She is a big snuggler who thrives on connection and affection, and anyone lucky enough to bring her home will quickly learn just how sweet she truly is. While she is very energetic, especially at the start of the day, she does not need constant motion. After a long morning walk to get her wiggles out, Tali is perfectly content spending the rest of the day sleeping, relaxing, and staying close to her people.

Tali would do best with an adopter who has a flexible schedule and can offer consistency, enrichment, and some basic leash training. Walks are one of her favorite things, and she gets very excited when she sees people, kids, and other dogs. She has participated in play groups at ACCT and has a history of living with another dog, with staff noting that she has great play meets and loose, happy body language.

She is gentle with food, shows no food aggression, and takes treats very nicely, which makes training a positive and rewarding experience. One thing to know about Tali is that she can feel anxious when left home alone. A crate helps her feel safe and secure, and with a predictable routine, she does best.

Tali’s journey has not been an easy one. She first came to ACCT in 2023 as a stray, malnourished and in need of care. She was adopted and given a chance at a new beginning, only to find herself back in the shelter in 2026 when it became clear that the home was not the right fit for her needs. Even so, Tali continues to show up with hope, love, and a willingness to trust again.

She is a fun loving girl who is ready for the right match, someone who sees her energy not as a flaw, but as part of what makes her special. With time, structure, and love, Tali has the potential to thrive and become an incredible companion.

Tali is not too much. She is just waiting for someone who has enough room in their life and heart to meet her where she is. And when that person comes along, she will give them everything she has.

If you’ve read Tali’s story and feel that spark of connection, this could be the moment that changes both of your lives. Tali is currently waiting at ACCT for the person who sees her energy, her love, and her potential and says yes. Check out her page linked here.

Not in a place to adopt right now? You can still help Tali. Sharing her story, telling a friend, or spreading the word helps her story reach the person who is meant to find her. Every share matters.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know Tali. She is ready for her next chapter.
