Kash Bonez

Kash was surrendered through no fault of his own. His previous family simply did not have the time or space he deserved. Since then, he has been trying to make sense of all the change. Through it all, he has remained gentle, tolerant, and deeply loving.

Kash can be timid at first. Loud noises, big crowds, and busy environments can feel overwhelming to him. In the shelter, he often needed extra encouragement to walk through doorways or explore new spaces. He would freeze in fear during unfamiliar moments, wide eyed but never reactive. Even when nervous, he remained tolerant and kind. He takes treats gently, allows handling, and leans in softly for comfort once he begins to feel safe.

And when he does feel safe, his true personality shines.

During a short term foster stay, Kash opened up almost immediately once he left the shelter environment. As soon as he stepped out of the car, his walls began to come down. He showed so much personality in just a few days. He is the cuddliest boy, happiest pressed right up against his person. Personal space simply does not exist in his world. He sleeps peacefully through the night, rarely barks, and would happily spend hours curled up on the couch beside you. He even loved the beach, taking in the fresh air and exploring at his own pace.

Kash is incredibly food motivated, which has helped him build confidence. He knows sit and is working on paw. He is doing well with house training when taken out regularly and is eager to continue learning with a patient and consistent adopter. He may start off unsure on leash, but with reassurance and encouragement, he stays close and wants to follow your lead.

At his core, Kash is affectionate, curious but cautious, and deeply devoted. He does not want chaos. He wants calm. He would thrive in a quiet suburban home away from heavy city noise and large crowds. A peaceful environment where he can build confidence slowly and at his own pace will allow him to truly blossom.
